Pure Synergy Pure Radiance C | Organic Vitamin C Powder | 100% Natural, Whole Food, Non-GMO Supplement with Camu Camu Extract | for Immune and Collagen Support (4 oz Powder)
From Amazon.com
This powdered berry sourced Vitamin C and flavonoids is the only one I buy, and with a 3 year shelf life (at least), it is one that I don't need to buy often. There are 180 servings when using the 1/4 teaspoon portion. That provides 120 mg of Vitamin C, which is 200% of daily value. I love that the vitamin C is derived from multiple natural sources and no synthetic ones. Impressive list of ingredients. I don't use this every day, but it is my go-to vitamin C source when I want the extra punch of antioxidant activity. The reason why I initially went with this formula is because of the natural, food based ingredients and how it is so very gentle on my stomach. Many vitamins and pill supplements make me nauseous. This doesn't, at all. As with any of these powdered supplements, they may not mix perfectly in water, but they mix well enough to do the job. I typically add some to water and drink up. It works fine in smoothies- not much of a taste to compete with other additions. Just in water there is a mild tart taste. They also make this in capsule form for those that want these types of ingredients, but prefer to take them in pill form. Either way, take a look at the ingredients (the sources of vitamin C and flavonoids), and what isn't there to love?
Vitamin Basics & Tips
Why Natural Vitamin C and Flavonoids Matter
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is essential for immune function, collagen synthesis, and antioxidant defense. Unlike synthetic versions, this product derives vitamin C from multiple natural berry sources, which may include additional phytonutrients like flavonoids. Flavonoids enhance vitamin C absorption and provide extra antioxidant benefits, combating free radicals linked to aging and inflammation.
Understanding Shelf Life and Serving Size
The 3-year shelf life is achieved through stable formulations and proper packaging. With 180 servings (1/4 tsp per serving), this product offers long-term value. Each serving delivers 120mg (200% DV), aligning with the NIH's recommended daily intake (75-90mg for adults). Excess vitamin C is excreted, making higher doses safe for most.
Gentle on the Stomach: A Key Advantage
Many synthetic vitamin C supplements cause nausea due to acidity. Natural, food-based sources (e.g., camu camu, acerola) are buffered by plant compounds, reducing stomach irritation. This makes the product ideal for sensitive individuals.
Powder vs. Capsules: Flexibility for Users
The powder form allows customizable dosing and easy addition to water or smoothies. Minimal taste interference makes it versatile. Capsule options cater to those preferring convenience without compromising natural ingredients.
Daily Use and Synergy with Antioxidants
While designed for intermittent use, pairing it with vitamin E or zinc boosts antioxidant effects. Store in a cool, dry place to preserve potency. For best results, mix thoroughly in liquids—slight texture is normal but doesn't affect efficacy.
